His Doctoral Thesis focused on "Faith Based Economics." Also in 1997, to accent his thesis, Dr. Hill developed Kairos Development Corporation, Inc. (KDC). The mission of KDC is to aid the underprivileged and prevent community deterioration, with a particular emphasis on housing development and youth programs.

Believing in giving back to the community, Dr. Hill served as a State Delegate for the 26th District of the Maryland General Assembly from 1998 to 2002. As a state delegate, he was a member of the Economic Matters Committee and sponsored various legislation that was signed into law.

During his tenure, Dr. Hill kicked off the Disciple Makers for Kingdom Building Campaign and guided the complete restoration of the Academy and sanctuary. Also, under Dr. Hill's leadership and vision, New Chapel Baptist Church and Kairos Development Corporation, Inc. collaborated to open a Community Empowerment Complex in the spring of 2003. The Complex includes a full commercial kitchen, an internet lab and a high school regulation-size gymnasium. The empowerment center complex is also a host site for various community empowering programs, such as computer training, job training, youth events, homebuyer seminars, life skills and financial management.

Dr. Hill is a man of wisdom, knowledge and truth who has developed a unique structure for church ministry. Undergirded by his belief in liberation theology, New Chapel operates by the four E's: Education, Edification, Empowerment and Evangelism. Through this structure of ministry, many lives have been blessed and changed. In 2013, Dr. Hill took his congregation on a " Walk thru the Bible," and led New Chapel Baptist Church to new heights in the implementation of "THE CHAPEL" as the sub-name for the ministry.

Like his father, Dr. Hill is a man of faith who believes the through prayer and fasting, all things are possible. With his wife, Lady Donna Hill by his side, we are destined to realize the manifestation of 1Corinthians 2:9, "But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him."

Keon D. Hill, M.Ed

He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Howard University in Human Development in 2016. Keon furthered his education at Howard by obtaining a Master’s degree from the School of Psychology and Counseling Services. During this Master’s program, Keon interned at Ron Brown High School and Meridian elementary for 500+ hours of hands on training. This empowered him to have a cutting edge approach to educational excellence, in which he has brought multiple innovative ideas to New Chapel Christian Academy (NCCA), where he currently serves as the Principal. NCCA strives to nurture students into young educated disciples for Christ. Keon believes adamantly in taking a holistic approach to child development, which seeks to simultaneously address the physical, emotional, relational, intellectual, and spiritual aspects of a child's life.

Keon’s commitment to student success and strong belief of instilling the power of “Dreaming Big” and not settling for less has been illustrated throughout his tenure not only at NCCA, but in his community as well.

He is the CEO/Founder of DreamBigGlobal (DBG), which is an organization that provides educational counseling, coaching and consulting programs for youth, adults, families, athletes and executives. In 2018, DBG hosted a community shoe drive in which they raised 350 pairs of shoes and donated them to a local shelter in Annapolis, Maryland. In addition, while pursuing his Master’s degree, Keon was selected to join Howard’s Alternative Spring Break program to serve in Accra, Ghana. This experience inspired him to host a community fundraiser event through DBG when he returned back home. The event was a success and 150+ books/electronic devices were collected to donate to Pram Pram elementary school in Accra, Ghana. Along with these community events, DBG has an annual free event entitled “Dream Talk.” This event involves a panel of young African-American future leaders that share their dreams, visions and obstacles that help inspire others to reach their goals. After years of walking through the yard of a HBCU and being surrounded by greatness on a consistent basis, Keon has no doubt that visual representation of black excellence plays a vital role in impacting our communities.

With a strong foundation and his experience at Howard University, Keon lives by the motto,
“Dream Big, Work Hard, Stay Focused, and surround yourself with good people.”
